Attic Fowler is the alter ego of Atlanta-based Chris Rutledge, a project that speaks of everything from mountain getaways to drinking with the grandson of a great southern author to the heavy realizations of self-purpose and outward dependency. These messages are delivered via a unique amalgamation of ‘80s dream-pop, psych-tinged jangle-pop, and Southern folk-rock––a sound Rutledge calls “terrestrial river soul,” which can transform from a punchy guitar riff to an endless sonic wave, and which has been met with praise from outlets such as NME and Austin Town Hall and led 2015’s "City Hall" (Fall Break Records) to be featured in the Fan Spotlight section of Bandcamp.

Now we’re thrilled to bring you its follow-up, Attic Fowler’s third effort, "Addict Flower." Within its depths we find Rutledge making his most personal yet immediate work to date. Entirely self-recorded in a makeshift mountain cabin studio in Tennessee, "Addict Flower" serves as a shimmering guitar-driven soundtrack for feelings of self-reflection and nostalgia, and is out now on Fall Break Records and Katuktu Collective.
