"'Tightrope' is off the band’s forth coming album Peach Colored Oranges due out on May 12. This album found the duo, Ryan Weber and Eric Osterman in the closest proximity to each other in the life of their musical partnership, traveling and transferring ideas, the short distance between Washington DC and Brooklyn. The closeness is evident in the sound of the album. It has a warmth and intimacy to it, where their previous offerings had space and openness. Prior albums (2014’s In This Light, 2013’s Night Singers and 2010’s All Those I Know) from the duo featured collaborations with members of the Dirty Projectors, Sylvan Esso, Owen, Volcano Choir, Shearwater, The Promise Ring, Delgados and more. With Peach Colored Oranges they not only swapped their electric guitars for acoustics, but trimmed down the number of guests on the album. By stripping back these elements the two were able to weave their signature dream pop into a fresh acoustic kaleidoscope." - The Huffington Post
"The album is at times delicate, aided in part by an orchestral presence, bringing to mind groups like Air, Electric Light Orchestra, and even the quieter side of Yo La Tengo. Soft harmonies, catchy melodies and delightful beats create dreamy pastel soundscapes that wash over the listener. Though this is undoubtedly pop music, Eric & Magill explore deeper realms as they seek real connections with each other and those lucky enough to hear the album." - Glide Magazine
